Proplex-T (Factor IX complex, heat treated [human]) for Haemophilia

Overview
Proplex-T is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to control and prevent bleeding in adults with hemophilia B. Proplex-T may also be used for perioperative (before, during, and after surgery) care. Proplex-T is typically prescribed in cases where fresh frozen plasma is ineffective. The technical name of Proplex-T is Factor IX complex, heat treated (human).

Proplex-T is a clotting factor. Clotting factors work by supplying proteins missing in people with hemophilia.

Proplex-T comes as a powder that must be reconstituted before injection.
